Laura “Patricia” Fernandez
Laura “Patricia” Fernandez focuses her practice on all areas of Immigration and Nationality law. As the child of Mexican immigrants, Patricia gravitated to the practice of immigration law as she witnessed the struggles and plight of her immigrant parents. She has represented clients before the Immigration Court and U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services in various immigration matters.
Patricia is a graduate of Texas A&M University where she received her Bachelor of Arts in International Politics and Diplomacy with an emphasis on Latin America. Before pursuing her legal career, Patricia completed a Public Policy Fellowship with the Department of State in which she proudly represented the United States delegation at the Summit of the Americas in Medellin, Colombia. Thereafter, Patricia received her Juris Doctor degree from Thurgood Marshall School of Law, where she practiced in the immigration clinic and worked at a nonprofit assisting low-income immigrants through legal representation, community education, and advocacy.
With a passion to service and cultural awareness, Patricia is also actively involved in the community. Patricia is currently serving as legal counsel for the National Hispanic Professional Organization, Houston Chapter and as an officer for the Mexican American Bar Association of Houston.
Patricia is committed to practicing immigration law with integrity and professionalism. She is also fluent in Spanish.
